Kat,
I just now read your story and realized that you had a similar situation with being sick and getting the kids busy on T4L. Glad to see we're all being creative when dealing with illness and education. It's very hard to be sick and still care for our active little angels.

Get well soon.
Tere

PS: we are on the road to recovery.

Schoolwork when I get sick? What a joke that was in the past. It did not happen very often that I felt as bad as yesterday and today are but I recall it happening twice. I also remember sitting at my desk long enough for them to complain enough about "getting through" their assignments and me "cutting" assignments down to almost nothing so that I did not have to listen to the begging to stop another second. (I hope you guys feel better also, BTW)
I have "trudged" (literally) to my desk yesterday and this morning and sat down with coffee first, green tea with honey, and then a shot of vitamin C.... trying to shake this cold. My boys? Never a question, never a moment where they took advantage of my weakened state and begged off schoolwork! (They did however use Halloween as a "Holiday" declaring "No Schoolwork" for holidays... but that was short lived and said mostly as a joke)
I too am surrounded by tissues, cold meds, hot tea and chicken soup.... My boys? Quietly sitting at their computers doing their school work without so much as a complaint...... Seriously? Are these my children or have Aliens invaded their bodies??
