I thought I’d blog a few of my random thoughts this morning!
As we’re winding down the school year, I’m having a hard time concentrating. I keep planning next year in my head!
I have to decide who will use T4L. You know, it would be great if you could do T4L ala carte…. My older son does great on his own, actually he does better on his own, in everything but Math. I have yet to hit the right combination for him for Math. Since our budget is so very limited, it would be great if I could have two kids in the full program and just have Math for one….
Going dormant…..anyone? We decided to go dormant for June and July and start back with T4L in August. It looks like our 2 year old may be headed for open heart surgery this summer… (A personal note and prayer request here!)
I’m planning on some nature study, art classes (putting it together myself) and some light phonics and math drills using flashcards and fun workbooks. It’ll be fun for a while, then we’ll be back on T4L!
We’ve been doing yard work and gardening. I hope to plant a couple of tomato plants, some green beans, jalapeno peppers, etc. this week. My boys love to see things growing.
Oh, and I know it’s late but…. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! I hope you all were treated like queens!

I just wanted to comment on my own post! I just realized that I listed some things we plan to do this summer and made the comment that it will be fun and THEN we’ll be back on T4L!!!!
That really should read it will be a bit laid-back and random…..
T4L is the FUN part!
I was looking at my 1st grader’s reports a couple of days ago and realized that he has worked through all of the K level and most of the 1st grade level this year. He has finished the grade 2 level Science. I love that!

We are going dormant and will most likely return in August also! 3 of my 5 students will be returning. My oldest son will be in eighth grade and will use SonLight to prepare him to use SL for high school. My oldest daughter will return to the the SL Core that we didn’t finish this year full time. The other kids still NEED t4l!
I will be praying for your baby!!

Definite prayers coming your way from my family! I will stil be using T4L over the summer so he doesn’t forget what he’s learned, but probably not much else. We planted some cherry tomatoes that are doing real well, and one black bean plant that is starting to grow the bean pods (is that what they’re called?! Ha! My husband is the outdoorsman, not me!), and some zuchini that is starting to look pretty good. Tim LOVES planting and watching things grow, too! Happy Late Mother’s Day to you, too!
