I know that I haven’t been posting something new each week, so let me drop a couple of things on you!
Time4Learning has a Live Google Hangout scheduled for October 1st, 2014, from 1pm to 1:45pm Eastern time (that’s 12pm central, 11am Mountain, 10am Pacific!). This is a great place to ask your homeschooling questions and have them answered by veteran homeschoolers. They are all very friendly, and you will find that maybe other viewers might ask questions you hadn’t even thought of! I took part in one not too long ago and they answered several questions that I had in mind to ask. Check it out!
The other thing I thought I would mention, since it is also relevant to this month is the new Time4Learning Fall Newsletter. Of particular interest to me was a Time4Friends forum addition so that T4L high school students could chat with each other in a safe and closed environment. The chatters there are all T4L members, so you know that they have something in common. Parents can view, but only student accounts can chat!
Ok, what else?
NASA has a student area that is really interesting. It is called NASA Education for Students. There are articles, a Kid’s Club, videos, pictures, and they even have a kid’s place on Facebook. If you have a kid interested in space and rockets, then this might be a great place to let them explore!
Until I see you again, happy homeschooling, and happy autumn! I am sooo ready for cool weather!
